If you have edited the audio content on your Tonie or Creative Tonie but your Toniebox 2 is still playing the old content, there are two possible reasons for this:
Your Toniebox 2 isn’t connected to Wi-Fi:
Check whether your Toniebox 2 is connected to Wi-Fi. To do this, open the tonies app and tap on your Toniebox 2. It can take up to 30 seconds after starting the Toniebox 2 for it to appear as “online”. If it still shows as “offline”, you’ll need to reconnect it to your Wi-Fi. You can do this easily by tapping the “Connect Toniebox” button.
The Tonie or Creative Tonie was placed on the Toniebox 2 too soon:
Unlike the Toniebox 1, the Toniebox 2 synchronises automatically. On the Toniebox 2, this happens around 30 seconds after it has been switched on. If your Toniebox 2 is connected to Wi-Fi and you have already placed the Tonie/Creative Tonie on it before synchronisation, the synchronisation process will be prevented.
How can you ensure the new content is played?
Restart the Toniebox 2
- Make sure your Toniebox 2 is switched on and NOT connected to a power source.
- Press and hold both ears for 60 seconds until the Toniebox 2 switches off. We recommend using a timer to ensure you hold them for the full 60 seconds.
- Be sure to keep holding the ears down, regardless of what the display shows in the meantime.
- Reconnect the Toniebox to a power source.
- If the light ring is lit and the Toniebox is making sounds again, it has worked.
Wait until the Toniebox 2 switches off:
Alternatively, you can wait until the Toniebox 2 has switched off. This happens automatically after five minutes of inactivity. Then switch on the Toniebox 2, which is connected to the Wi-Fi, and wait for at least 30 seconds before placing the Tonie or Creative Tonie on it.
