Unfortunately, not at this time, as third-party wired headphones can not plug straight into the Toniebox 2 due to local toy safety regulations.
Because of these rules, third-party USB-C headphones won’t work with the Toniebox 2, as some USB-C headphones need the Toniebox 2 to supply extra power or use adapters that convert the audio signal. For safety and certification reasons, Toniebox 2 can only support headphones that safely convert the signal.
That’s why third-party USB-C headphones or adapters may not work, while tonies® USB-C headphones and USB-C to AUX adapters are fully supported. This helps ensure safe, reliable listening for children and protects the Toniebox from powering or charging external devices.
What wired headphones can I use with Toniebox 2?
So you’ll either need to use our tonies® Bluetooth Headphones with the USB-C cable or our tonies® USB-C to AUX Adapter if you’re trying to use a pair of AUX headphones.
But I've seen wired headphones working in the USA?
Great catch!
In the US and Canada, Toniebox 2 is certified to support a wider range of USB-C headphone configurations.
In other regions, safety and certification requirements are more restrictive around how devices can supply power through USB-C.
To meet those requirements, Toniebox 2 only supports approved USB-C headphones in those regions – including tonies® USB-C headphones – while third-party USB-C headphones and adapters may not work.
