The only way to adjust the volume of the Toniebox is by pinching one of the ears. Pinch the bigger ear to increase the volume and pinch the smaller ear to decrease the volume. We do not recommend pushing or bending the ears, as this may cause damage over time.

You can also set a Volume Limit using the mytonies app or my.tonies.com. This will limit the maximum volume that the Toniebox can be adjusted to. You can limit both the speaker volume and the headphone volume separately.
How to set a Volume Limit:
Using the mytonies app
- Open the mytonies app and tap the icon in the bottom right hand corner titled 'Collection'.
- Tap on the 'Toniebox' header.
- Tap on the picture of the Toniebox you would like to make changes to.
- Here you can limit the maximum volume that the Toniebox can be set to, either 100%, 75%, 50%, or 25%.
- Once you have limited the volume to the desired level, you will just need to sync the Toniebox to make sure that it receives the news. To do this, turn on the Toniebox and pinch one ear for about 3 seconds until the LED begins flashing blue. The Toniebox will sync for a few seconds and when complete, the LED will turn solid green and an audio tone will play. Now the Toniebox settings have been successfully adjusted!
Using my.tonies.com
- Login to your account at my.tonies.com and click on the 'Tonieboxes' tab.
- Click on the picture of the Toniebox you would like to make changes to.
- Here you can limit the maximum volume that the Toniebox can be set to, either 100%, 75%, 50%, or 25%.
- Once you have limited the volume to the desired level, click 'Save Changes' at the bottom of the page.
- Now you will just need to sync the Toniebox to make sure that it receives the news. To do this, turn on the Toniebox and pinch one ear for about 3 seconds until the LED begins flashing blue. The Toniebox will sync for a few seconds and when complete, the LED will turn solid green and an audio tone will play. Now the Toniebox settings have been successfully adjusted!
