Toniebox 2: Everything you need to know!

Meet Toniebox 2 – the audio player designed for their hands, powered by their choices, and built to help them grow. Perfect for ages 1–12+, Toniebox 2 boosts independence and confidence as kids listen, play, and explore.

Built to withstand years of bumps and tumbles, it gives them two ways to play. They can dive into favorite stories and songs with an ever-growing crew of Tonie characters. Or, add Tonieplay to unlock screen-free interactive games, quizzes, and challenges where they take the lead.

And that’s not all — the new Bedtime Mode, Sleep Timer with Light and Sunrise Alarm help families build healthy sleep habits and make bedtime better, all easily controlled through the tonies® app. With no screens or ads, kids can play safely and independently… in a whole new way.

Designed for Toniebox 2, Tonieplay turns the Toniebox into a safe and screen-free gaming experience. You’ll need a Tonieplay controller to play any of the Tonieplay games – both are sold separately.

Toniebox 2 includes an enhanced speaker design that delivers a more balanced, full-range sound compared to Toniebox 1. Stories come through clearer and songs feel fuller, creating a smoother and more consistent listening experience for little (and not-so-little) ears. It is also capable of reaching a higher maximum volume level than the original Toniebox.

Yep! Many of our retailers have demo stations in store where you can have a play with the new Toniebox 2 in real life. If you can’t make it to one of the stores, our website has loads of information to help you get started.

They will! All their favorite Tonies will still work on Toniebox 2 the same way they work on Toniebox 1.

All Tonies will work on Toniebox 1 and Toniebox 2, but Tonieplay Games will only work on Toniebox 2.

You can add your Toniebox 2 to your existing tonies® account and household. Just follow the steps in the app.

That’s a good question!

It depends on your needs as a family and the age of your little listener, but we always recommend starting with a Toniebox 2 bundle, which contains one or more Tonies to get your listening adventure started.

If your kiddo is three or above, then we’d definitely go for the Play Set – it’s got everything they need to play our new, interactive games as well as stories and songs from our Tonies. It’ll keep them entertained for hours.

Toniebox 1 is no longer available from our UK store (tonies.com). You may however find the Toniebox 1 stocked in some select third party retailers.
