Think of a factory reset as your Toniebox 2 “fresh start button.” It wipes everything clean and takes your Toniebox 2 back to the way it was on day one. Because it’s such a big step, a factory reset should only be used as a last resort, after you’ve tried all other troubleshooting tips.
When to use a factory reset
- Something went wrong during the initial setup and your Toniebox 2 isn’t responding as expected.
- You’d like to return your Toniebox 2 and remove it from your tonies® account.
To Factory Reset your Toniebox 2, follow these steps:
1. Turn on your Toniebox 2 and wait until the light ring turns green.
2. Make sure the Toniebox 2 is not plugged in.
3. Turn the Toniebox 2 upside down and press and hold both ears for 5 seconds until you hear a sound signal.
4. Turn it back over – the light ring will glow white.
5. Press and hold the small ear. The Toniebox 2 will begin the factory reset and guide you through the process.
6. Wait until the Toniebox 2 confirms that the reset is complete.
Your Toniebox 2 is now reset and ready for a brand-new start.

1. Open the tonies® app and log in to your account.
2. Go to “Mine” and select your Toniebox 2.
3. Tap “Settings” (top right corner).
4. Scroll to the bottom and select “Factory reset instructions.”
