In accordance with the technical guidelines from Google for Android as well as Apple’s guidelines for iOS it is only possible to display the wifi environment of an app if the access to the location is allowed. This rule came into effect for Google in August 2018 and for Apple as part of the iOS 13 update.
We do not have any impact on these guidelines and they have to be adhered to for both systems with regard to the app development.
Please note: Our app does not use any GPS data, it only requires the name of the network (SSID) your smartphone is connected with as the Toniebox 1 will be added to this very same network. The GPS data will not be transmitted to us nor to third parties.

You can do this via your smartphone, it is not necessary to share your location in this case because the wifi network needs to be selected manually during the process and will not be changed automatically. You can also go through the set-up process via your computer or tablet.
