If you would like to manually take your Toniebox 2 offline and stop it from searching for or connecting to available networks, you can do so by putting it into Offline Mode. This allows you to listen and play in with all previously downloaded content and disables Wi-Fi connection until you choose to reconnect.
To start Offline Mode, follow these steps:
- Turn on your Toniebox 2 and make sure that there are no Tonies or Tonieplay Games on it.
- To activate Offline Mode, you need to enter Parent Access Mode. You can do this by turning the Toniebox 2 upside down and long pressing both ears until white light fills the Light Ring.
- Now squeeze the big ear and you will hear a voice message letting you know that you are now in Offline Mode.
To end Offline Mode, follow these steps:
- Turn on your Toniebox 2 and make sure that there are no Tonies or Tonieplay Games on top.
- Enter Parent Access Mode by turning the Toniebox 2 upside down and long pressing both ears until white light fills the Light Ring.
- Now squeeze the big ear and you will hear a voice message letting you know that Offline Mode has been disabled and the Toniebox 2 will attempt to connect to Wi-Fi again.
While Offline Mode is active, the Toniebox 2 does not look for Wi-Fi networks to connect to and can only play Tonies or Tonieplay Games that have already been fully downloaded onto the Toniebox 2’s internal storage. It is also not possible to activate new Tonies or download new content for a Creative Tonie while in Offline Mode.
While the Toniebox 2 is offline, it cannot connect to the tonies app and therefore will not sync with any app configurations. Any app-enabled features (e.g. Sunrise Alarm) will be deactivated.
It is also important to note that once the Toniebox 2 enters Offline Mode, it remains in Offline Mode until it’s manually taken out of Offline Mode.
