WEP encryption is the former standard encryption protocol for Wi-Fi (link to Wikipedia).WEP is fairly outdated and considered to be insecure which is why the Toniebox 1 no longer uses this encryption method. We highly recommend switching the router's encryption type to WPA2. This meets the current Wi-Fi safety standard.
To find out if you router supports WPA2, please check with the manufactures website, manual or packaging.
Note: Toniebox 1 does not support WPA2 Enterprise.
