WEP encryption is the former standard encryption protocol for Wi-Fi (link to Wikipedia).WEP is fairly outdated and considered to be insecure which is why the Toniebox no longer uses this encryption method. We highly recommend switching the router's encryption type to WPA2. This meets the current Wi-Fi safety standard.

To find out if you router supports WPA2, please check with the manufactures website, manual or packaging.

Note: Toniebox does not support WPA2 Enterprise.
