This allows you to ensure the battery is almost completely flat before it is recharged. This suits the type of battery being used and favours a long lifespan.

That means that you only need to place the Toniebox on the charging station when it tells you to. The Toniebox can also be operated while it is on the charging station without a hitch.

To reach full charge, the Toniebox should be left on the charging station for 3-4 hours.
