Uh-oh! There's actually a few different reasons why you might have received this error when setting up your Toniebox or trying to connect to a new Wi-Fi. Let's go through the possible reasons about why this might have happened and what we can do to fix it.
- The Wi-Fi password was entered incorrectly
- The first thing to check is to make sure you have indeed entered your Wi-Fi password correctly. Remember, these passwords are case-sensitive. If you have ensured you are entering the correct Wi-Fi password and still receive the error, let's move on to the second possibility.

- You are attempting to connect to a 5GHz Wi-Fi connection
- It's important to remember that the Toniebox can only connect to 2.4GHz Wi-Fi networks and is unable to connect to 5GHz Wi-Fi networks. This is the most common reason why you might receive the incorrect password message even when entering the correct password. Typically, if your router is producing both a 2.4GHz connection and a 5GHz connection, you will see two different available WiFi connections (For example, "TP-Link 2.4G" and "TP-Link 5G"). If you only see one connection name, you might have to take a look at your router's settings to make both connections visible.

- Your router's firmware is not up to date
- Out-of-date router firmware may cause some connection issues with the Toniebox. The process for updating your router will vary depending on the make and model. To find instructions for updating your router's firmware, visit your router manufacturer's website or contact your Internet Service Provider. Restarting or unplugging your router for about 10 seconds may also help get it up and running properly.
