If you want to upload your own custom content that is stored locally on your device onto a Creative-Tonie, it is very simple to do this in order to make it unique to you! You can do this in two ways; using the mytonies app or my.tonies.com.
Note: Before uploading content, be sure to double-check the supported audio files for Creative-Tonies.
How to upload content onto your Creative-Tonie:
Using the mytonies app on an iPhone or iPad with iOS
- Open the mytonies app and tap the icon in the bottom right hand corner titled 'Collection'.
- Tap on the 'Creative-Tonies' header.
- Tap on the picture of the Creative-Tonie you want to upload content onto.
- To upload content that is saved on your device to the Creative-Tonie, simply tap the tonie/arrow icon on the right-hand of the screen.
- Tap the 'Upload a new file' button at the bottom of the 'Assign content' screen.
- Now, you will be brought to a screen that says 'On My iPhone' or 'On my iPad' and prompted to select the file(s)/content that is stored within your iPhone's/iPad's Files app. Simply locate and select the file(s) that you wish to upload and when done, tap 'Open' when you have selected the file(s).
- Once the file(s) are finished uploading to the Creative-Tonie, tap the red 'Done' button on the top-right side of the screen.
- Once the new content is uploaded to the Creative-Tonie, you will just need to sync the Toniebox in order to download the new content. To do this, simply turn on the Toniebox and pinch one of the Tonieboxes ears for about three seconds until you hear a sound. The LED will begin flashing blue while your Toniebox updates with the new content. You can then place the Creative-Tonie onto the Toniebox when the light turns solid green. The new content will then be played and downloaded simultaneously.
Using the mytonies app on an Android smartphone or tablet
- Open the mytonies app and tap the icon in the bottom right hand corner titled 'Collection'.
- Tap on the 'Creative-Tonies' header.
- Tap on the picture of the Creative-Tonie you want to upload content onto.
- To upload content that is saved on your device to the Creative-Tonie, simply tap the tonie/arrow icon on the right-hand of the screen.
- Tap the 'Upload a new file' button at the bottom of the 'Assign content' screen.
- Now, you will be brought to a screen that says 'Recent' and prompted to select a location where the file(s)/content are located on your device. To select files that are saved on your device's local storage, tap 'My Files'.
- In the 'Internal storage' screen, simply tap the specific folder where your file(s)/content are saved. For this example, the file is located in the 'Music' folder.
- Once in the specific folder where your content is stored, simply select/tap the circle(s) next to the file names to select the file(s) that you wish to upload to the Creative-Tonie.
- Once the file(s) have been selected, tap the 'Done' button at the bottom of the screen in order to upload the file(s) to the Creative-Tonie.
- Once the file(s) are finished uploading to the Creative-Tonie, tap the red 'Done' button on the top-right side of the screen.
- Once the new content is uploaded to the Creative-Tonie, you will just need to sync the Toniebox in order to download the new content. Using my.tonies.com
- Login to your my.tonies.com account.
- Select Creative-Tonies from the menu.
- Click on the Creative-Tonie that you want to upload content onto.
- To upload content that is saved on your device to the Creative-Tonie, simply click the tonie/arrow icon on the right-hand of the screen.
- Click the 'Upload' button to upload files that are stored locally on your device's storage.
- Here, you can either Drag & Drop or Browse Files that are stored on your device that you want to upload to your Creative-Tonie. To locate the file(s) that are on your device, simply click 'Browse Files'.
- Once you are finished choosing the file(s) and they have finished uploading, click the 'Save Content' button to upload the new files onto the Creative-Tonie.
- Once the new content is uploaded to the Creative-Tonie, you will need to sync the Toniebox in order to download the new content. To do this, simply turn on the Toniebox and pinch one of the Tonieboxes ears for about three seconds until you hear a sound. The LED will begin flashing blue while your Toniebox updates with the new content. You can then place the Creative-Tonie onto the Toniebox when the light turns solid green. The new content will then be played and downloaded simultaneously.
